  Chicken BarBQ Pizza recipe and cooking method

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast

1 cup warm water

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp olive oil



1 chicken breast, cooked and shredded

½ cup BBQ sauce

1 small red onion, thinly sliced

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded

1 tbsp olive oil

Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions:


In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.

In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.




In a bowl, mix shredded chicken with BBQ sauce until well coated.



3. Assemble the Pizza:

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a parchment paper-lined pizza peel or baking sheet.

Brush the dough lightly with olive oil. Spread the BBQ chicken mixture evenly over the dough.

Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the chicken. Add sliced red onions on top.

Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.



4. Serve:

Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh cilantro, and slice. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Chicken BBQ Cheese Pizza!
